FREE EVENT - The Iredell Garden Fair offers a variety of plants for sale, educational opportunities, gardening demonstrations, linking the community with 50+ vendors with plants, garden equipment, accessories, lawn and garden supplies, yard art, food, fun activities for kids, and more! For those looking to expand their gardening knowledge, the event offers educational sessions. At 10:00 a.m., Nancy Gasperi, an ISA Certified Arborist and expert in tree care, will present "Trees and Soil: Getting to the Root of Tree Health." At 11:30 a.m., Melinda Roberts, Iredell Extension Agent in Horticulture-Agriculture, will discuss "Incorporating Medicinal Herbs Into Your Landscape." Additionally, Extension Master Gardener volunteers will lead mini sessions in the demonstration garden, where attendees can bring their plant-related questions as well as being on hand to to answer your garden questions at our "Ask a Master Gardener Booth".
The fair also features fun activities for children, door prizes, and food available for purchase. Guests can buy tickets for a chance to win a garden-themed raffle basket, with proceeds benefiting community gardening education.
Organized by the NC Extension Master Gardener Volunteers of Iredell County, the event is free and open to the public.
